Winter Con is a yearly convention held in El Paso, Texas during the month of December. The main focus of the convention is Japanese culture but is not limited to this genre. Winter Con includes other interest such as music, art, animation, science fiction, video games and much more. This convention is possible thanks to the efforts of the El Paso Collective and all those who support and volunteer their time.

In celebration of the International Museum Day theme "Museums for Social Harmony," the El Paso Museum of History will present The Cultures of China and Japan and their influence on El Paso. Chinese and Japanese dances, origami, fans, and more will be presented.
